An electronic music duo from India, Lateral was formed by brothers Siddharth Barooa and Amitabh Barooa in 2016. The debut EP Us was released in 2017 followed by a couple of singles and music videos in 2018. In 2019 they released their four-song second EP, Other Words, and their first music video of the song What a Way To Know. The brothers' best, popular Indian Alternative/Progressive Rock band Lucid Recess, has amassed fans all over the country. Owners of Lucid Recess Studio, these rockers have worked with, recorded, and produced about 200 artistes and bands from all over the country. The idea for Lateral was conceived by the brothers out of their pure love for electronica and love for playing live shows. They have done a number of shows in the Northeast including Majuli Music Festival 2019, NH7 Meghalaya 2017, Ziro Festival of Music 2017, Papum Pare Festival (Arunachal Pradesh), DMF Festival (Meghalaya) to name a few.
